ABOUT ME
Hi, I’m Jackie,
Born and raised in New York, currently living in Houston after spending a few years in Atlanta, life has looked different in every season, but one thing that’s remained constant is my desire to grow, reflect, and become more intentional about the way I live.
For the majority of my life, I found myself constantly wanting to change, but not always knowing where to start. I would have all these thoughts about becoming a better version of myself, maybe take one step forward, then five steps back, and continue repeating cycles of inconsistent or unhealthy progression. I would start strong, fall off, and repeat the same cycles over and over again.
A few years ago, I started realizing how much inconsistency had become a part of my life. Although I knew I wanted better for myself, I also had to be honest about the fact that I wasn’t fully showing up for myself the way I needed to. I didn’t realize how much of my past was affecting the way I handled relationships, emotions, accountability, discipline, and even the way I viewed myself.
I spent a lot of time operating in survival mode — reacting emotionally, being in the wrong relationships, avoiding certain realities, struggling with consistency, and repeating patterns instead of truly learning myself.
Over time, through faith, discipline, uncomfortable self-reflection, healthier habits, difficult conversations, fitness, accountability, and learning to slow down, I started becoming more intentional about the way I live my life. Not perfect — just more aware.
Learn Yourself Gently was created from that place. A place of wanting to help people experience real growth without shame, have peace more than chaos, and initiate honest conversations that go deeper than surface-level motivation.
This space is for people who are trying to grow emotionally, mentally, spiritually, and personally while still figuring themselves out in real time. People who are tired of repeating the same cycles, tired of constantly operating from survival mode, and ready to take more accountability for the life they’re creating.
I’m not here to sell perfection or act like I have life figured out. I’m still learning too. My goal is simply to create a space that encourages honest reflection, accountability, self-awareness, faith, and growth — gently.
I’d love to help you on your journey. See how I can help.
